Power of the Arts at Silly Science Sunday

Stop by to see performances by the Purple Cat Singers and Oakland Children's Theater. Samir Andrades and Meghan Thomas will perform and demonstrate Latin dance. Youngstown writer and artist Thomas Welsh will draw caricatures and Shannon Blackshire will lead visitors in using natural dye. Practice a few steps with Ballet Western Reserve. Play or learn chess with the members of the winning Boardman Middle School chess club, decorate a bus in anticipation of Power of the Arts's public art on buses project, decorate a sidewalk stamp with Lit Youngstown, make a painting with the Butler Instutite of American Art. Weather permitting, we'll hopscotch up and down. Rain or shine, there will be a free trolley tour of historic churches to look at our iconic art and architecture. Join us as we celebrate STEM and the humanities!
