Please join us in congratulating the winning artists whose work will be installed on WRTA buses in April & May, 2019. A public reception for artists, sponsors and the public will take place at the main branch of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, 305 Wick Ave. Thursday, April 11 at 5:00.

Cultivate Café is fast-casual food venue featuring healthy, local options on the north side of Youngstown. Preference will be given to an image that reflects their focus on cooperation, healthfulness, and commitment to local farmers/food makers.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Youngstown Alumnae Chapter, will sponsor an African-American female artist in any medium to depict the Harlem Renaissance.

Size of projects: 96"x240". Two images will be selected for this sponsor.

Easterseals works with children and adults with disabilities and those seeking to retain their independence at home. An artist with a disability or an artist willing to work on the project with Easterseals clients will be preferred.

Jet Creative will sponsor an artist who identifies as female, under age 18, painting something they are supremely passionate about.

Size of project: 30"x88"

Lit Youngstown will sponsor an image, any medium, that includes text, or a literary character or scene.

Mahoning County Land Reutilization Corporation is interested in art by and about the people of Youngstown/Mahoning County. Photography is preferred, but other media will be considered.

McKinley Memorial Museum

Size of project: 21"x59"

The McKinley Memorial Museum will give preference to a theme related to Niles or President McKinley.

Size of project: 38"x174"

Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County will give preference to an image that incorporates library materials (books, A/V materials, online access to materials, etc.) in a theme that is STEAM-related (science, technology, engineering, the arts, math).

Mahoning County Career & Technical Center will sponsor an image by a current or former MCCTC student.

SMARTS community art school will sponsor a design made by current or past SMARTS students, family members, and/or employees. SMARTS provides quality arts education experiences for PK-12 students in visual arts, music, dance, theater, and creative writing.

Alexis Smith, D.O.

Dr. Smith will sponsor a female artist, painting an image with a breast cancer awareness theme.

The Soap Gallery will sponsor any artist working in any medium.

Size of project: 30"x88"

TIMBRE is a non-profit organization supporting arts education classrooms throughout Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties. Timbre will sponsor a group of students of any age, who create a positive, artistic image that celebrates diversity.

Size of project: 21"x59"

Trumbull New Theatre will sponsor an artist from Niles. Preference will be given to a theater theme.

The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation will sponsor a design by a student at Akiva Academy that is reflective of the Jewish ethical obligations of Tikkun Olum (repairing the world) and Tzedakah (justice and righteousness).

Youngstown CityScape will sponsor a floral design in any medium, using any CityScape flower bed in downtown Youngstown as inspiration.

Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation will sponsor any artist working in any medium.

The YWCA of the Mahoning Valley will sponsor an image by a woman of color artist working in any medium.
